New on Netflix January 19: That ’90s Show

The Formans and all of their friends are back, it’s a new decade, and everyone is still smoking pot. That’s the general premise of That ’90s Show, where we meet Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), daughter of Eric and Donna (Topher Grace and Laura Prepon), who spends the summer chilling out at her grandparents, Red and Kitty’s (Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp) house meeting new friends because she needs a change of pace in her life. The show features cameos from almost all the original cast of That ’70s Show (not you, Danny Masterson), but will focus on Leia and the new friends she meets in Red and Kitty’s neighborhood and the hijinks that ensue when they find her parent’s old, hidden stash in the basement.

New on Prime Video January 20: The Legend of Vox Machina (Season 2)

Prime Video’s fantasy-action-comedy series The Legend of Vox Machina returns with three new episodes airing on Friday (three new episodes of the show will drop weekly over the course of four weeks). The show, which is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Critical Role has come a long way from its days as a web series that was funded by Kickstarter into becoming a real show, but thankfully it hasn’t lost any of its original charm. The new season brings back the same voice actors, including Ashley Johnson, Sam Riegel, and Taliesin Jaffe, as members of the Vox Machina team who hilariously work together through various D&D campaigns; this season they find themselves back on Tal’Dorei trying to defend themselves against a group of dragons who call themselves the Chroma Conclave.
